{"id":793,"date":"2013-11-06T15:24:53","date_gmt":"2013-11-06T22:24:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.travelswithwesley.com\/?p=793"},"modified":"2013-11-06T15:24:54","modified_gmt":"2013-11-06T22:24:54","slug":"on-to-county-donegal-cont","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.travelswithwesley.com\/?p=793","title":{"rendered":"On to County Donegal Cont."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After leaving\u00c2\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: 'Lucida Grande';\">Grianan of Aileach and our instruction in Irish fire fighting tools, We arrived at the Glenveagh National \u00c2\u00a0Park. \u00c2\u00a0Getting there, we crossed back into the Republic of Ireland. \u00c2\u00a0Sean\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s border trick didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t work the second time. \u00c2\u00a0On the way up from Dublin to Belfast, Sean warned us to \u00c2\u00a0have our passports ready as we approached Northern Ireland. \u00c2\u00a0As we were rooting around looking for them, he announced, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153we are in Northern Ireland,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d of course we didm\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t need passports, open border. \u00c2\u00a0Groans all around. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Lucida Grande';\">Back in the Republic, Glenveagh is one of six national parks of Ireland. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Lucida Grande';\">\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.glenveaghnationalpark.ie\/\">http:\/\/www.glenveaghnationalpark.ie\/<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Lucida Grande';\">The castle on the property was built by John Adair, who evicted some 244 Irish from the homes and destroyed their dwellings so they would not interfere with his views. \u00c2\u00a0A well loved individual. \u00c2\u00a0Mr. Adair died relatively young, maybe divine retribution?
