Monday morning and the trip is getting shorter. Except for the fact that my spine is compressed from the bouncing on the bus, I’m going to hate to leave.<\/p>\n

After breakfast, I took a couple of shots of the view looking out from the cafeteria.

The maid for my room was a sweet lady that I became fond of, her name is Luz Maria Araque.<\/p>\n

Also, before we left, I got a good shot of Hector, our driver, wearing his Hurley shirt. the man can drive a bus. He went up roads and through spots I wouldn’t have imagined.<\/p>\n

We headed out to Danli again to pick up Padre Alejandro. We also had a strange passenger on the bus, not sure of the nationality.

We first visited the suburb of Nueva Esperanza and the Iglesia Episcopal Mano de Dios. the had a very nice templo, made me kind of jealous for Moroceli. Here i a pic from the from door.

We headed to Santa Maria to visit Lay Pastor Alexander Rodriguez Flores and family. The small congregation there is meeting in the front room of their three room house. A large family in small house, no running water.

They cook on a wood pit in the kitchen and use a water purifier supplied by Rotary and the Epsicopal Church.
\nRotary and the Episcopal Diocese are working together on Rural Sanitation projects, also supplying a more sanitary outhouse and tips of better sanitation.

From Santa Maria, we went up another fine Honduran highway (NOT) to San Lorenzo. This little community had no electricity or water. Their water came out of a stock pond. But they had what amounted to a convenient store.

From San Lorenzo, We went to El Paraiso to Iglesia La Resurreccion, where Hector’s wife had a meal prepared for us. Then back to Zamarano and some free time.
